A 15th-century hall and a parkland "hidden gem"
An 18-hole parkland course shaped by Colt, Button and Braid, set around a historic hall dating to 1462.
Every way in to Woodsome Hall
Whether you have come to play, to join, or to mark an occasion, the next step is here.
Woodsome Hall is one of Yorkshire's most characterful clubs — a parkland course set on a historic estate around a clubhouse that dates to 1462.
The eighteen-hole course opened in June 1923 and carries a remarkable design pedigree: Harry Colt's original 1921 survey, William Button's layout, and a 1929 redesign by five-time Open champion James Braid.
Stay and play on the doorstep — the "Cottage on the Course" behind the 7th green sleeps up to 16 across eight en-suite rooms, with EV charging and secure club storage. The historic hall also hosts dining, weddings and events.
